What documents do I need to get started?
To register with Zoom PCO Hire, you’ll need the following:
- A valid UK Driving License with your current address
- A PCO License (Private Hire License issued by TfL)
- Proof of address (such as a utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months)
- Your National Insurance Number
These documents ensure that you meet all legal and regulatory requirements for private hire driving in London.
What’s included in the weekly payment?
Your weekly payment covers all essential running costs and services, including:

- PHV (Private Hire Vehicle) license

What’s the mileage allowance?
Each plan includes a weekly mileage allowance of 800 miles, which equates to approximately 40,000 miles per year.

Can my partner or family member drive the car?
Yes, your spouse or civil partner may drive the vehicle under certain conditions:
- They must be 25 years or older
- They must live at the same address as you
- They need to be added to the insurance policy, which comes with an additional fee
Please note: only the main driver (you) can use the vehicle for private hire work.
What happens if the car breaks down?
All our vehicles come with 24/7 roadside assistance. If your car breaks down:
- Our support team will arrange emergency help or towing to a garage
- If repairs take longer than 24 hours, we’ll provide a PCO-approved courtesy car, so your income isn’t interrupted
